Kate joined our Gilbert & Cook team in 2022 as a Senior Investment Strategist. At the start of 2025 Kate had taken on a new role as Director of Research & Investor Relations. In this role, Kate closely collaborates with colleagues to ensure client financial objectives are met. She plays an active role in portfolio management, conducting market research, monitoring performance, and identifying top-down investment opportunities. As a member of the Investment Committee, Kate leads the investment research process, sourcing new investment ideas and overseeing the evaluation of managers across both public and private markets. She continues to work directly with clients and advisors, effectively communicating the firm's investment philosophy and providing ongoing portfolio analysis and support. She prides herself in having the ability to help others find a way to live their life in a way that makes them happy and fulfilled.

She graduated from the University of Iowa and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2012. Kate is an active member of CFA Society of Iowa.

Kate and her husband Adam live in West Des Moines with their three kids, Addie, Charlee, and Davis. They stay busy by skiing in Colorado, biking on the trails throughout Iowa, and cheering on the Hawkeyes every chance they get.
